Reno (AP) If you thought you knew anything about deceased rock star amphibians snuffed in their prime, think again.
While fans and family of the late Froggie the Frog had finally begun to reach closure, new evidence has surfaced which has once again stirred the pond of human emotions. Just weeks after a Federal Investigation finally concluded that the frog’s death was in fact an overdose and not foul play, an anonymous letter to Froggie’s family has sparked national outrage.
The letter alleges that Froggie fathered love-tadpoles the night of his death. The note, which has not been made public, was delivered to his Father and surviving relatives in Reno, Nevada and threatens the family if they do not comply with certain demands.
“Apparently, somebody thinks this sick joke is funny.” said Froggies father, Mr. Squiggles, “well, we’re not laughing.” A nationwide manhunt has begun to find the author of the note, whose demands include three cobs of Jamaican corn and the assassination of Bob Evans. If these are not met, the author threatens to go public with incriminating photos.
As of today, no photos have surfaced, but questions are flying around fan websites and local hotspots. Many say that this lends credibility to the theory that Froggie was in fact the victim of a vast murder conspiracy.

First Coachella, now Lollapolooza.
My best friend form Highschool, Rob, and his wife Angela are coming out here to go with us in July. We can’t wait. It goes without saying that the Sugars will be there, since it’s in their backyard.
Again it’s going to be freakin incredible. There’s a little overlap from the last show, but who cares.
I remeber the first Lolopalooza I went to- it was the one with Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Ice Cube, The Chilli Peppers, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Lush, Ministry and I don’t remember who else. I was floored.
I went again a few years later for the Beastie Boys, etc., but it was fading pretty quick. It’s cool to see them take a lesson from Coachella and the other festivals and bring it back to the Indie-Rock bands who fly under MTV’s radar.
I think the best festival I’ve ever been to was the HFStival in DC back in like ‘92. I got to see TMBG, Catherine Wheel, Wolfgang Press, Too Much Joy, The Ocean Blue, The Charltons UK, and the Soup Dragons. That was incredible. The Soup Dragons headlined and at the end of their set this guy bungee jumped out of a hot air balloon durring “I’m Free” and we all went nuts. There were 30,000 people there having a blast all day. It only cost 7 bucks.

Tonight the feed on 97X WOXY went silent. Winamp just keeps bouncing from url to url trying to find it, so I call him off. For those who don’t know, 97X was an Ohio based radio station that for 20 years stood as a modern rock lighthouse with an FM beam. Untainted by the corporate creep that has swallowed most stations, WOXY truely played modern rock.
97X, BAM! The Future of Rock and Roll.
I picked up the internet broadcast some time in the last year and it was like finding a friends I had lost touch with. I had been listening to this station all my life. Growing up at the Beach in Delaware, I heard it through the mixed tapes my friends made me of Front 242 and Nick Cave. When I went to live shows and fell in love with Too Much Joy or Catherine Wheel. When I found WOXY I got re-aquianted with the music that raised me.
As it would happen, this is the same time I got into the whole blogging thing, and I had also stumbled across Sledge’s site, but it was actually months before I realized the same guy I was laughing with on the net I was also hearing in between Stellastar* and Public Enemy on 97X.
I don’t think I’m that influential that I jinxed the station, but it really stinks that I only got to hear it for a short while. You will be missed, WOXY. It was hard to hear you guys let go of something tonight which has left such a profound impact on you and the world at large- but I’m glad I caught it. I know you guys said it, but I think it’s something that we should be telling you:
Thanks.

Dear Movable Type,
No thanks, I’d rather not part with that much scrilla. I would have thrown you a few bucks, but you had to go straight for the jugular.
You may have wanted to consider the fact that your competitors offer pretty much the same features and are still free. At the very least, you should have poked around to see what your current users thought about the new pricing scheme. Too late now, they’ll be jumping ship like rats- not even bothering to notice that we could just keep the current version.
Goodbye MT, hello textpattern, wordpress or drupal.
