I am amazed to read HALFCOURTCRANE’s comments on 7/24/04 about Jimmy Fallon. If he or she ever comes back to this site, please read what you wrote. “he’s INSTRUCTED to periodically break character, especially when a bit is dying or just not going anywhere and everbody realizes it.” Jimmy Fallon broke character ALL THE TIME. Doesn’t that then say something about how many of his bits were “dying” or “going no where”? I don’t recall a single show where Fallon didn’t break character at least once. Tells you something about his batting average I think.

Lay the hell off Jimmy. You guy don’t know jack about how well he can act. He’s never had a TRUE starring role, and nobody knows how well he can do. And as for the not being able to hold a straight face, he’s INSTRUCTED to periodically break character, especially when a bit is dying or just not going anywhere and everbody realizes it. On top of that, you people need something better to do with your time than argue over the future of someone else. Worry about your own.

Jimmy totally held SNL together. He and Tina were definetely the best, and his CD is awesome. I also recommend looking up his various holiday parodies.

to bad you nerds are so wrong because jimmy was the whole show especially now since all of the greats are gone. his movies will be excellent and he was great in almost famous so get lost. you dont even know funny, and for sure you should buy his CD it is a crack up

I agree. He showed promise when he began with SNL, but nowadays he and Hoacio just get on my nerves with their constant laughing.

I’m sorry man, but Tina Fey has carried him for the past few years. Not only can she deliver on Weekend Update, but she writes it all too. A monkey could do Jimmy’s job.
